Operating Instructions
Operating Time
The purifier can run continuously throughout the day. However, it is recommended to let the device rest for 30 minutes after 8–10 hours of continuous operation.
Humidification Function
Before activating the humidification function, ensure the water tank is sufficiently filled. Operating the device with an empty or low water tank may cause damage.
Humidification Steps:
- Remove the upper rear panel from the purifier.
- Take out the humidification water tank.
- Open the tank lid according to the label and add 1.5 liters of clean water through the water inlet.
- After filling, reinsert the water tank, close the rear panel, and press the Humidify icon on the control panel to activate the humidification function.
Notes:
- Only fill water up to the maximum level to prevent overflow.
- A red Humidify icon indicates either the humidifying filter is missing or the water tank is empty or low. In this case, the humidification function will not operate.
- If the Humidify icon is illuminated but does not appear on the display, this indicates that the humidification function is off, even though there is still water in the tank.
- When both the Humidify icon and display panel are illuminated, the humidification function is activated and operating normally.
Filter Replacement Instructions
- Turn off the device and unplug it from the power source.
- Remove the upper and lower rear panels to access the filter compartment.
- Take out the old filter and install the new filter in the correct position, ensuring it fits securely within the frame.

Notes:
- Recommended filter replacement interval: 6–9 months, depending on the environment.
- The replacement period may vary based on air quality: cleaner air may extend filter life, while poor air quality may shorten it.
- When the filter needs replacement, the indicator on the display panel will illuminate red and blink.
- Timely filter replacement ensures stable operation, prolongs device lifespan, and maintains air quality.
Important Notes for Using the Kosmen KM-A99 Air Purifier
Select a Purifier Suitable for Your Room Size
Choose an air purifier with adequate capacity for the room size to ensure optimal filtration performance. A purifier that is too small or underpowered may fail to meet your needs, resulting in inefficient air purification and unnecessary energy consumption.
Placement of the Purifier
To ensure optimal performance, observe the following guidelines:
- Place the purifier on a flat surface, at least 30 cm away from walls and obstacles to allow proper air circulation.
- Connect to the power source after positioning the purifier, plugging it into the socket securely.
- Avoid placing the purifier near doors, strong air drafts, or outdoors. Do not leave doors open while the purifier is operating.
- Keep the purifier on the floor, away from direct sunlight.
Position the purifier near a power outlet to prevent the power cord from causing obstruction or tripping hazards. - Do not place the purifier in areas with high humidity, such as bathrooms or near swimming pools.
- Do not use the purifier as a substitute for kitchen or bathroom exhaust fans.
- Do not insert fingers, sticks, or objects into the fan body, air intake, or air outlet.
- The only way to completely disconnect power is to unplug the device. Do not operate the purifier if the power cord is damaged.
Important notes for using Kosmen KM-A99 Air Purifier
Regular Filter Replacement to Maintain Purification Efficiency
Regular cleaning and replacement of filters help maintain optimal air purification performance. Use the purifier’s filter replacement indicator to monitor filter condition:
- Pre-Filter: Removable and washable; does not require periodic replacement.
- UV Filter: Does not require frequent replacement unless damaged.
- Activated Carbon Filter: Recommended to replace once a year.
- HEPA Filter: Replace every 6–9 months of use.
Do Not Move the Purifier While Operating
Moving the purifier while it is running may generate loud noise and damage internal components. Always turn off the device and handle it gently before relocation.
Proper Operation
If you are unsure of the room’s air quality, use the Auto mode. The purifier will automatically adjust fan speed and operating power based on real-time air quality, ensuring optimal filtration efficiency and energy savings.
