Product Functions

Main Functions

The main functions of the Kosmen KM-25N dehumidifier include:

Dehumidification

Removes excess moisture and balances humidity at a safe level, ensuring the space remains dry and preventing mold and dampness.

Clothes Drying (Dry Mode)

Dries clothes using airflow that has already removed moisture while balancing the humidity of the surrounding environment. This prevents clothes from re-absorbing moisture and helps them dry without damaging or fading the fabric.

WiFi

Users can connect the device to WiFi to easily control and adjust settings through the mobile app.
Once connected, users can:

• Adjust settings
  
• Monitor ambient humidity
  
• Set timers or schedules for automatic operation

Negative Ion Air Purification

It emits negative ions to easily remove airborne dust and dirt, helping to maintain a fresh and clean environment.

In addition, the machine has other smart features such as: timer, water tank full warning, overload protection, automatic defrost, suitable for use in homes, offices and many other spaces.

Instructions for use

ON/OFF BUTTON

Press "ON/OFF" to start the machine. Press again to turn it off.

AUTO / SLEEP / DRY

Press once to activate Auto mode

• Continuous dehumidification
• Fan speed automatically adjusts based on ambient humidity.

Press again to activate Sleep mode

• After 5 seconds all indicator lights turn off
• Machine runs at low fan speed
• Humidity set at 60%.

Press again to activate Dry mode

• High fan speed
• Continuous dehumidification for drying clothes.

Press once more to exit the mode.

Note: In Dry mode, humidity and fan speed are preset and cannot be adjusted.

LOCK

Press and hold the Lock button for 1 second to activate child lock.

All buttons will be locked.

Press and hold again for 1 second to disable the lock.

TIMER

Press Timer to set the timer.

The time can be adjusted from 1–24 hours.

Press Timer until the display shows 00.

After flashing eight times, the display returns to showing current humidity and the timer setting is confirmed.

HUMIDITY SETTING

Press Humidity to set the desired humidity level.

Options:

• CO (Continuous dehumidification)
• 40% – 70%

Adjustment changes by 10% per press.

WIND SPEED SETTING

Press Fan to select:

• High speed
• Low speed

ANION

Press Anion to activate the air purification function using negative ions.

WIFI

Press and hold the WiFi button for 5 seconds until the WiFi indicator flashes.

Then connect the device using a mobile application.

Steps:

1. Download the Smart Life or Tuya Smart app.
2. Scan the QR code on the machine.
3. Follow the instructions in the app to connect to WiFi.

Notes:

• Keep the dehumidifier, phone, and router close together during connection.
• Ensure stable internet connection.
• Only supports 2.4 GHz WiFi.
• Make sure the WiFi password is correct.
• Follow the app instructions to complete pairing.

Indicator Lights

Power Indicator

When the power cord is connected, the display shows current humidity.

Press the power button and the machine will start when the set humidity is lower than ambient humidity.

Water Full Warning

When the water tank is full:

• Full indicator lights up
• Compressor and fan stop
• The device beeps three times

Empty the water tank and reinstall it correctly for the machine to resume operation.

Timer Indicator

Lights up when the timer is activated.

Low Fan Speed Indicator

Lights up when low fan speed is selected.

High Fan Speed Indicator

Lights up when high fan speed is selected.

Clothes Drying Indicator

Lights up when Dry mode is activated.

Negative Ion Indicator

Lights up when Anion mode is activated.

LED Color Indicators

• Red: Humidity > 65%
  
• Green: Humidity between 45% – 65%
  
• Orange: Humidity ≤ 45%

Operating Instructions

When first starting, the machine will be in standby mode. Press the power button to switch to running mode. The first operation will be in continuous dehumidification mode, with the motor running at low speed and the continuous dehumidification indicator light illuminated. If the machine is turned back on after being turned off, the programmed humidity settings will remain the same as before the power off.

Press the "Humidity" button. The humidity can be changed from 70%, 60%, 50% to 40% in continuous dehumidification mode. The corresponding indicator light will illuminate. If the preset humidity is higher than the current ambient humidity + 5%, the machine will stop after 5 seconds. When the preset humidity is lower than the current ambient temperature, the machine will resume normal operation.

How the Dehumidifier Works

1. After the compressor protection delay of 3 minutes, if the indoor humidity is greater than or equal to the set humidity + 5% RH, the compressor will start operating again.
2. When the indoor humidity is lower than the set humidity − 5% RH, the compressor will stop.
3. When the indoor humidity is between (set humidity − 5% RH) and (set humidity + 5% RH), the compressor will maintain its current operating state.
4. If the compressor stops due to humidity reduction, the fan will stop after running for 3 minutes.
5. When the machine beeps three times and the water full indicator lights up, the unit will stop operating.
   Please empty the water tank and reinstall it properly.
   If the water full indicator remains on, check whether the water tank is installed correctly.
   The machine will resume operation once the indicator turns off.
6. Defrost Function
   After the machine has been running for 30 minutes, the coil sensor detects the pipe temperature.
• If the pipe temperature is ≤ 1°C for 3 seconds, the compressor will stop, the fan will continue running, and defrost mode will begin. The defrost indicator will light up.
• When the temperature sensor detects that the coil temperature is ≥ 5°C for 3 minutes, the defrost process will end.

Water Level Indicator

Water Level Float

Do not remove the float from the water tank. If the float is removed, the machine will not turn on or start operating.

Reinstalling the Water Tank

When placing the water tank back into the compartment, use both hands to push it firmly into the correct position. If the tank is not installed properly, the machine will not start or water may overflow during operation.

Cleaning the Water Tank

If the water tank becomes dirty, clean it with cold or warm water. Do not use detergents, chemically treated dust cloths, gasoline, benzene, thinners, or other solvents, as these may damage the water tank.

Continuous Drainage

The machine has a drainage outlet that can be connected to a plastic hose (11 mm inner diameter) for continuous water drainage.

When using the drainage hose, do not immerse the end of the hose in water. This may cause pressure in the hose if it is too long or if the drainage path becomes blocked, which can prevent proper water flow and lead to water leakage.

Notes on using the Kosmen KM-25N dehumidifier

• Place the machine in an upright position on a flat and stable surface.
• Ensure a minimum distance of 30 cm between the device and any heat sources or flammable materials.
• Do not place any objects blocking the air inlet or air outlet of the device.
• The device is intended for household use only.
• Do not use the device in closets, wardrobes, boats, vehicles, or similar enclosed spaces.
• After transportation or if the device has been tilted or laid horizontally (for example during cleaning or transport), place the unit upright and leave it for at least one hour before connecting it to the power supply.
• The power supply must match the specifications indicated on the device label.
• Avoid electrical overload. Using a voltage higher than the cable’s capacity may cause overheating and electrical fire.
• Avoid dropping or damaging the device during use or transportation.
• Check the power cord before use to ensure it is not damaged, worn, or punctured. Also check that the plug is secure and that the plastic insulation is not cracked.
• Do not unplug the power cord to turn the machine on or off. Always use the control panel to start or stop the device.
• Before moving the device, turn off the power, unplug the cord, and empty the water tank.
• Do not spray insecticides or other flammable cleaning agents on the device surface.
• Do not pour or spray water onto the device.

• Children aged 8 years and above, as well as individuals with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or limited experience and knowledge, may use the device only if they are supervised or have been properly instructed on safe operation and understand the potential hazards.
• Children must not play with the device, and cleaning or maintenance must not be performed by children without supervision.
• Only qualified and authorized technicians are allowed to disassemble or repair the device. It is recommended to send the device to the supplier for periodic maintenance.
