Product Functions

The main functions of Kosmen KM-60S Dehumidifier include:

Dehumidification

Removes excess moisture and maintains a safe humidity level, keeping the space dry and reducing the risk of mold and dampness.

Clothes Drying (Dry Mode)

Dries clothes using dehumidified airflow while balancing ambient humidity, preventing moisture from returning. Clothes are dried without the risk of over-drying or fading.

Wi-Fi

Users can connect the device to Wi-Fi for easy feature customization via the app. With Wi-Fi, you can adjust settings, monitor ambient humidity, set timers, and schedule operation according to your needs.

User Instructions

Power (On/Off)

Press the “On/Off” button to turn on the dehumidifier. Press again to turn it off.

Humidity Setting

Press the “Humidity” button to adjust the desired humidity level. Select “CO” (Continuous Dehumidification) or a target between 40% and 70%, adjusting in 10% increments per press.

Timing

Press the “Timer” button to set the operating time. The indicator light will turn on, allowing adjustment from 1 to 24 hours. Press the “Timer” button until the display shows “00”. After eight flashes, the current humidity will be displayed, and the timer function will be activated or deactivated.

Dry Mode

Press the “Dry” button to activate clothes-drying mode. The fan will operate at the highest speed, boosting warm airflow, and the machine will run continuously.

Note: In Dry Mode, humidity and fan speed are automatically controlled by the dehumidifier. Manual adjustment of humidity and fan speed is not available.

Wind Speed Setting

Press the “Fan” button to select one of the three fan speeds: High, Medium, or Low.

Anion

Press the “Anion” button to activate the antibacterial function and purify the air with negative ions.

WiFi

Press and hold the “WiFi” button for 5 seconds. The WiFi indicator will blink continuously, indicating the device is ready to connect to the mobile app.

1. Download the “Smart Life” or “Tuya Smart” app on your smartphone.
2. Scan the QR code on the device using the app and follow the instructions to connect to WiFi.
3. Notes:
   • Ensure the dehumidifier, smartphone, and router are close to each other during setup.
   • Make sure the WiFi network is stable and is 2.4 GHz only.
   • Follow the app instructions carefully.
   • Enter the correct WiFi password.
4. Follow the app instructions to put the device in ready-to-connect mode.

Operation Instructions

When starting the device for the first time, it will be in standby mode, press the Power button to switch to running mode. On the first startup, the device operates in Continuous Dehumidification (CO) mode, motor running at low speed, Continuous Dehumidification indicator lights on. The compressor operates after a 3-minute protection delay when indoor humidity is ≥ set humidity + 5% RH. The compressor stops when indoor humidity is less than set humidity - 5% RH. The fan stops 3 minutes after the compressor stops if humidity continues to decrease.

If the device is turned on again after being powered off, the previously programmed humidity settings will remain the same. When the device indicates full water tank (3 beeps, indicator lights on), it stops operating. Empty the water tank and reinstall it properly for the device to resume operation.

Press the Humidity button to adjust humidity from 70%, 60%, 50%, to 40% in Continuous Dehumidification (CO) mode, corresponding indicator lights on. If the set humidity is higher than the current room humidity + 5%, the device will stop operating after 5 seconds. If the set humidity is lower than the current room humidity, the device will operate normally again.

Indicator Lights

Power On/Off

When the power cord is plugged in, the device screen displays the current room humidity. Press the Power button, the Power indicator will light up, and the device will start running if the set humidity is lower than the current room humidity.

Water Level Float

Do not remove the float from the water tank. If the float is removed from the tank, the device will not turn on or will not start.

Reset Water Tank

Use both hands to place the water tank in the correct position. If the tank is not properly seated or incorrectly positioned, the device will trigger a warning at the Full indicator. The device will not start, or water may overflow during operation if the tank is not correctly placed.

Clean Water Tank

If the water tank is dirty, clean it with cold or warm water. Do not use detergents, chemically treated dust cloths, gasoline, benzene, thinner, or other solvents, as these chemicals may damage the water tank.

Continuous Drainage

The device is equipped with a drain outlet, connected to a plastic tube with an inner diameter of 11mm to lead water outside. During use, do not immerse the drain tube end into water, to avoid excessive tube length or back pressure caused by blockage. This may prevent water from draining properly, resulting in water leakage.

Timer

When the timer is activated, the Timer indicator will light up.

Installation Precautions

To ensure stable operation and optimal performance, users should pay attention to the following points during installation:

• Place the device on a stable surface: Helps the unit operate smoothly without tilting or vibrating during operation.
• Maintain clear space around the unit: Keep at least 30cm distance from walls and obstacles to ensure proper airflow and avoid overheating.
• Do not place near heat sources or damp areas: Avoid placing near stoves, bathrooms, or direct sunlight from windows to ensure safety and extend the device's lifespan.

Important notes when using Kosmen KM-60S dehumidifier

• Choose a space suitable for the unit’s capacity: The KM-60S is ideal for areas from 50 to 110m². Avoid using it in rooms that are too small to prevent excessive air dryness.
• Use a stable power supply: Plug the unit into a dedicated 220V – 50Hz outlet, and avoid sharing the socket with high-power devices to reduce the risk of overload.

Usage Precautions

To ensure the Kosmen KM‑60S dehumidifier operates efficiently, maintains durability, and performs well over time, please pay attention to the following points:

• Select the appropriate humidity for the space: The ideal humidity for health and furniture is 50–60%. Avoid setting it too low to prevent dry skin, chapped lips, and imbalanced air humidity.
• Place the unit in a well-ventilated area: Do not place it close to walls or objects that block airflow. Keep a minimum distance of 30cm from walls and away from heat sources such as gas stoves or microwaves to ensure electrical safety.
• Keep the space closed while the unit is running: Frequently opening doors forces the dehumidifier to work continuously, increasing electricity consumption and reducing its lifespan.
• Turn off the unit before unplugging: Sudden power cut while the unit is still running may affect the compressor and operating mechanism, causing long-term damage.
• Clean the unit and filters regularly: Dirty filters block the system, reducing dehumidifying efficiency. Clean according to usage frequency.
• Precautions when moving the unit: Before moving, turn off the dehumidifier, unplug it, and empty the water tank. Check the power cord for damage, wear, or cracks to avoid safety hazards.
