On October 2, Kosmen Brand Ambassador Nguyen Hai Long delivered an impressive performance and contributed to Vietnam’s 4-2 victory over Pakistan in the group-stage match.

A stalemate in the first half as Pakistan defend deep

In the first half, Pakistan’s deep defensive approach created significant difficulties for Vietnam in breaking through their defensive line and finding a way into the box. In the 31st minute, an inaccurate pass from Vietnam gave Pakistan an opportunity to launch a counterattack, allowing them to take a 1-0 lead.

Looking to break the deadlock, Head Coach Kim Sang-sik made tactical adjustments, with Tuan Tai and Đinh Bac coming on to help change the flow of the game and create greater attacking opportunities for Vietnam.

In the 50th minute, following a pass down the flank from Tuan Tai, Nguyen Hai Long broke forward and produced a composed piece of skill before curling a superb effort beyond the Pakistan defence and goalkeeper. His goal brought Vietnam level at 1-1 and became the turning point of the match.
