Kosmen’s Project Survey, Consultation, Delivery, and Implementation Process

Phase 1: Identifying Customer Requirements

At the initial stage, Kosmen discussed the facility’s storage conditions and humidity-control requirements with the customer in Dak Lak. As durian requires suitable environmental conditions during storage, excessive humidity may increase the risk of condensation and mold growth, which can affect product quality while the fruit is awaiting sorting, packaging, or dispatch.

Based on the information provided by the customer, Kosmen recorded the size of the storage area, product characteristics, operating conditions, and the desired warehouse environment for export-oriented durian storage. These initial details provided the basis for the technical team to conduct further assessments and prepare an appropriate survey and equipment selection plan.

Phase 2: Information Collection & Preliminary Consultation

After clarifying the customer’s requirements, Kosmen collected additional information about the durian storage area to develop an initial solution. The facility covers approximately 1,000 m² and requires humidity to be maintained within an appropriate range based on the customer’s storage conditions.

Other factors, including warehouse height, space configuration, ventilation, frequency of goods movement, and operating hours, were also considered to provide a more complete assessment of the actual storage environment.

Based on the collected data, Kosmen’s team made an initial assessment of the required dehumidification capacity, effective coverage area, and suitable equipment layout. This provided the basis for the on-site survey, detailed capacity calculations, and final technical proposal.

Phase 3: Confirming the On-Site Survey

After agreeing on the preliminary humidity-control approach, Kosmen coordinated with the customer to arrange an on-site survey at the durian facility in Dak Lak. Both parties confirmed the survey schedule, inspection areas, and on-site contact person to ensure the process could be carried out efficiently with minimal disruption to storage and goods-handling operations.

Before the survey, Kosmen’s technical team prepared environmental measuring instruments, technical documents, and the necessary inspection forms. This preparation allowed actual site conditions to be recorded more accurately and provided a reliable basis for technical evaluation and development of a suitable humidity-control solution for the approximately 1,000 m² storage area.

Phase 4: On-Site Survey & Technical Consultation

According to the agreed schedule, Kosmen’s technical team conducted an on-site survey of the durian storage area in Dak Lak to assess actual operating conditions and identify factors that could affect humidity control.

The survey focused on:

  • Measuring temperature and humidity at multiple locations to identify variations across different areas.
  • Assessing the warehouse layout, ceiling height, building enclosure, and airflow conditions.
  • Reviewing product storage arrangements, aisles, and goods movement frequency to evaluate their impact on the warehouse environment.
  • Determining suitable equipment locations to ensure effective airflow distribution without interfering with daily operations.
  • Checking the power supply, drainage system, and other technical conditions required for installation.

During the survey, Kosmen also discussed the customer’s storage procedures, storage duration, and humidity requirements in greater detail. Based on the collected data, the technical team assessed the required dehumidification capacity and developed an equipment plan suitable for the approximately 1,000 m² facility.

Phase 5: Solution Proposal & Equipment Layout

Based on the on-site survey results, Kosmen evaluated the key factors affecting the durian storage environment and developed a humidity-control solution suited to the size and operating conditions of the facility.

Following technical calculations, Kosmen recommended installing 2 Kosmen KM-480S industrial dehumidifiers in the durian storage area. The proposed solution was selected to provide sufficient dehumidification capacity for the large storage space and support stable storage conditions before transportation and export.

The equipment locations were determined based on the warehouse layout and airflow patterns to support effective air distribution throughout the storage area. The installation arrangement was also designed to minimize interference with aisles, product handling, and loading and unloading activities.

Phase 6: Finalizing the Solution & Contract Signing

After completing the technical proposal, Kosmen and the customer agreed on the installation of 2 Kosmen KM-480S industrial dehumidifiers for the durian storage area. Both parties also confirmed the delivery plan, supply schedule, and site conditions required for implementation.

Based on the agreed solution, the contract and necessary procedures were finalized in preparation for equipment delivery. Kosmen then arranged the delivery schedule to ensure the equipment would be supplied on time and covered by the applicable Kosmen warranty policy.

Phase 7: Delivery, Installation & Commissioning

As scheduled, 2 Kosmen KM-480S industrial dehumidifiers were delivered to the durian storage facility in Dak Lak. Before installation, the equipment, accessories, and overall operating condition were inspected to ensure that all components met the required conditions for handover.

At the site, Kosmen’s team positioned the equipment according to the approved technical layout, connected the three-phase power supply and drainage system, and conducted operational testing.

After the trial run, key operating parameters were checked and confirmed with the customer. The installation and commissioning process was then completed before the equipment was officially put into operation.
